You Really Do Despair...

It speaks for itself:

  1. No doubt once he has appeared in court, received his fine, paid his 'victim's charge', paid the Post Office for repainting the pillar box red, and collecting his criminal record, some bloke from the Post Office will turn up, check that the (red) paint is dry and then paint it gold.

  2. Perhaps he hadn't had the required H & S training to paint the post box? Perhaps he put the Great British public at risk of getting gold paint on their clothing or breathing in paint fumes for 1 milisecond. Or maybe he used the wrong shade of gold.

You must understand that these things are VERY important. We can't have people using their initiative - not in the UK!
